Ritual Tools

We have listed some of the most common tools used in Wicca/Pagan religions.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO HAVE ANY OF THESE ITEMS TO PERFORM MAGICK!!!!

The tools are used to direct YOUR energy. They are only magickal because of the way that you use them.

      Wand/Staff:
Used to direct energy. Stands for communication and business.
Symbol of the element of Fire.

      Stang:
A forked staff, used as a vertical altar.
May be put outside with decorations on it for the Holidays.

      Athame:
Black-hilted, double bladed knife used to direct energy.

      Bolline:
White-hilted knife, traditionally (though not necessarily) with a curved blade (like a scythe).
Used for magickal purposes, like harvesting herbs for ritual use.

      Chalice:
Cup, used to hold water or the ritual wine. Is a symbol of Goddess, and water.

      Censer:
Used to burn incense. Is a symbol of air.

      Pentacle:
Symbol of earth. Used as a plate for ritual cakes, and to dedicate and consecrate with
the powers of Earth.

      Besom:
Broom, used to protect the home when placed at the entrance, and used to clean
the ritual space in the astral plane (or physical).

      Cauldron:
Symbol of the Goddess, used for divination, building fires inside,
and mixing "potions" for spells.

      Book of Shadows:
Your personal book of information. Put anything of use to you for
your journey down the pagan path. Spells, rituals, divination, your chosen pantheon, etc...
